1970s Ranch Kitchen Remodel

 We updated the kitchen in this thirty-year-old home.

The new hickory cabinets are complemented by the new natural hickory floor.  In addition to installing the cabinetry, we hung the new lighting, with the additional touch of the xenon under-cabinet lighting.

Two other great options in remodeling a kitchen can be seen below.  On the left you see the pantry offered with many pre-fabricated cabinets.  There had been an existing closet in that space in the kitchen.  We opened it up a little more and inserted the pantry to minimize the amount of space the cabinet takes up.  These pantries offer great storage space with many roll-out shelves, plus they're made with the same doors as the other cabinets in the kitchen so they look wonderful.  On the right you see that the fridge is tucked away inside a built-in.  There is extra storage on shelves above, and the wooden casing around the refrigerator makes it look like another cabinet in the set.  This is a very attractive way to camouflage the appliance in the same manner as the dishwasher and the stove.
