1970s Ranch Kitchen Remodel
One of the important things to remember in a remodel is the finishing touches. Once the kitchen has the new countertop and cabinets, you need the right hardware to set it off. The bin pulls we installed in this kitchen fit well with the clients' stainless appliances. Much like the cabinetry surrounding the fridge helps make the appliances all seem part of the cabinets, these pulls accentuate the appliances and assist in the integration of wood and steel.
We were able to add a unique touch to this kitchen, as you can see in the pictures below. Functionally, this half wall separates the kitchen from the dining room. Stylistically, it highlights some of the beautiful woodwork we can offer.
The columns are tapered at the top and finished off with decorative trim. The clients had granite installed on top of the wall to match the granite in the kitchen, giving them a little extra counter space. We installed bead board on both sides of the wall, stained on the kitchen side to match the pre-fabricated cabinets and painted on the dining room side.
